Dave Stala celebrates touchdown with a game of hacky sack
July 31, 2010 – Hamilton Tiger-Cats play the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Mosaic Stadium at Taylor Field. 5 minutes into the 2nd quarter, Tiger-Cats receiver Dave Stala catches an 11 yard touchdown pass from quarterback Kevin Glenn to give the Tiger-Cats a 14-7 lead.
Following the touchdown grab, Dave Stala performs one of the most unique touchdown celebrations. Using the football as a hacky sack, Stala flips the ball off the ground, kicks it up three times, than boots it into the crowd of Rider fans.

Despite the Dave Stala touchdown catch, and a breakout game for teammate Arland Bruce, who had CFL record tying 16 receptions for 272 yards and two touchdowns. The Tiger-Cats lost to the Roughriders 37-24.
The touchdown celebration also gained international attention, appearing on ESPN’s Pardon The Interruption (PTI). Dave Stala’s clip was shown during PTI’s report card segment.
